PowerPoint 2000's Web Tools

Microsoft has provided a means of outputting PowerPoint slides to the Web since PowerPoint 95. The benefits of placing slides online for the entire world to view are obvious. Where a slideshow was normally only viewed by the participants in the program, an online version can be referenced at any time by anyone with access to your Web site. A Web version of a past presentation is a powerful archive of previous work and it enables you to share it with as many people as possible.

The past two attempts at integration accomplished the task of putting the slides online but only resulted in simple HTML versions of the presentation that required a bulky PowerPoint player application for any form of interactivity. The PowerPoint player was eliminated with the introduction of PowerPoint 2000.
