Elements of Color

As mentioned earlier, there is no color without light. Of course, that could be said for all of life. Plants and animals (including the human variety) require light for their very existence.

While light is necessary, color is not. In fact, many people cannot perceive color, or they perceive color improperly such as in the common condition known as color blindness. However, for those with normal color perception, color is a significant aspect of your emotional and artistic life. In fact, it's so much a part of you that you might not necessarily even know what motivates you to pick out certain colors for your wardrobe—yet you do it.
