Dennis Jones is a freelance technical writer and fantasy novelist. He lives near Ottawa, Canada.

Neil Randall (nrandall@watarts.uwaterloo.ca) is the author or coauthor of several books on Internet topics. He has published regularly in computer magazines for 15 years and is currently a technical columnist for PC Magazine. He teaches multimedia design and critique, as well as the analysis of computer interfaces, as a professor of English at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Paul Colligan (colligan@email.com) has been a fan of the Internet since he first logged on with his Mac Plus to something called Gopher. He speaks on Internet-related topics around the country and enjoys an audience that laughs with him, not at him. In his spare time, Paul is a part-time faculty member at both the Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C., and, more locally, Portland Community College. Mark Fitzpatrick (markfitz@fitzme.com) is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) who specializes in Microsoft Internet technologies and products such as FrontPage, Visual Interdev, and Internet Information Server. He has been designing Web sites for businesses and organizations for five years. John Jay Kottler (jkottler@erols.com) has been programming for 15 years and has spent the past seven years developing applications for the Windows platform. He has also been programming multimedia applications and developing for the Web for the past three years. His knowledge includes C/C++, Visual Basic, multimedia, digital video production, and Internet development. Kelly Murdock (murdocks@itsnet.com) works as a professional Web developer in the education arena. On the side, he writes Web books and has been involved with too many projects to number, including 3D Graphics and VRML 2, Dynamic Web Publishing, and HTML 4 Unleashed. Bob Samer provides quality assurance for the FrontPage 2000 extensibility interfaces at Microsoft, working on everything from the Page and Web objects models to building FrontPage 2000 add-ins. He also spent a year working in Microsoft Excel/Visual Basic technical support, providing end-user and developer support for the Excel macro language and cross-application programming. Bob has worked as a Web site designer for netTastic Internet Solutions, a Web development business he co-owns, building sites ranging from simple home sites to complex ASP-driven, e-commerce–enabled sites.
