Working with Conventional Table Cells

After you create a table, the next step is usually to format its cells and fill them with content. This section will explain how to perform such tasks.

Using the Cell Properties Dialog Box

Although the table layout in Figure 19-16 looks generally pleasing, several aspects beg improvement. The numeric entries should allow for two-digit numbers and should be right-justified, for example, and the column headings lack contrast. You can make these kinds of adjustments in the Cell Properties dialog box. To open the Cell Properties dialog box:
