Web Publishing Fundamentals

While developing your Web pages, you have a choice of four ways to store them:

  • As individual files on your local disk or file server.

  • As a FrontPage-based Web site on your local disk or file server.

  • As a FrontPage-based Web site on a Web server that runs on your computer. (Remember, this requires the FrontPage Server Extensions as well as the Web server itself.)

  • As a FrontPage-based Web site or Microsoft SharePoint Team Site that runs on some other computer—a computer running a Web server plus the FrontPage Server Extensions or Windows SharePoint Services.
