Using Shared Borders

This section discusses another FrontPage facility that standardizes content and appearance across an entire Web site. Shared borders provide a way to insert standard content at the upper, lower, left, or right edges of any or all pages in the same Web site.

Shared borders appear between your Web page’s normal content and the upper, left, right, or lower edge of the browser window. You can put whatever you want inside the shared border area, but the same content appears in the same border for every page in your Web site. The lower shared border for one page can’t be different from the lower shared border of any other page, for example. When Microsoft decided to call these borders “shared,” they weren’t kidding!
