Creating Data Sources and Data Views

As you’ve already seen, Windows SharePoint Services makes easy work of displaying almost any data stored within a SharePoint site. This is true regardless of whether you’re accessing SharePoint with a browser or creating Web Part Pages in FrontPage.

Inevitably, however, you’re sure to want some additional flexibility in what data you can access, and in what formats you can display it. SharePoint—and therefore FrontPage—provides two features, named Data Sources and Data Views, that do exactly that.
