Reindexing Your Web Site

FrontPage maintains a number of databases and index files that cross-reference hyperlinks and other elements in your Web pages. If these files and your Web pages get out of sync, FrontPage might produce incorrect search results, incorrectly size pictures, or incompletely update hyperlinks.

FrontPage updates its indexes every time it makes changes to a Web site, but other programs and utilities don’t. You should reindex your Web site every time you make changes with external tools, any time you suspect indexes of being corrupted, or in general, any time your Web site seems to be acting strangely.
