Using DHTML Effects

In addition to animating the appearance and disappearance of entire Web pages, FrontPage can animate the way individual elements arrive on screen, react to mouse activity, or both. Headings, pictures, and other objects can fly in from various borders, drop in one word at a time, spiral in, zoom in, and so forth. In addition, an object’s appearance can change as the mouse pointer passes over it.

Figure 26-7 shows such a page-load animation in progress. The heading line, including the picture, has already slid in from the right edge of the window. The bookmark hyperlinks Backup, Diskettes, Drink Holder, and Foot Pedal have already dropped in from the top of the window, and the bookmark hyperlink Whiteout is en route.
