Using FrontPage Web Components

To help you produce sophisticated Web pages quickly, FrontPage includes a powerful collection of intelligent Web components. FrontPage inserts these components wherever you specify, prompts you for any variable information, and then generates the corresponding HTML code when it saves the page. Along with the HTML, FrontPage saves the dialog box values you specified so that it can redisplay them in future editing sessions or re-create the HTML if some other factor changes.

In almost every case, Web components provide active output (that is, their content or appearance changes automatically based on events beyond the Web page that contains the components). These changes may occur for any of the following reasons:
