Using Alternative Self-Registration Systems

If your Web site resides on a Windows-based Web server, the FrontPage Self-Registration feature is essentially useless. Fortunately, however, this doesn’t stop you from implementing self-registration in other ways.

If you’re on an Intranet, it’s frequently possible to bypass the need for self-registration. In all likelihood, everyone in your company or office already has a Windows username and password, and you can use these accounts to control access to your Web site (discussion or otherwise). Chapter 46 explains how to do this.
