Creating and Modifying HTML Forms

An HTML form is a bounded area of a Web page that contains objects for data input and buttons for data submission. Figure 34-1 provides an example.

Figure 34-1. This page shows a typical HTML form. It collects data from the Web visitor and submits the data to some process. The warning box appears whenever the visitor clicks Submit without specifying an e-mail address; this typifies the FrontPage form field validation feature.
