Chapter 36. Accessing and Updating Datab... > Reviewing Conventional Database Feat...

Reviewing Conventional Database Features

The conventional database features in FrontPage 2003 are very similar to those in FrontPage 2000 and FrontPage 2002. Here’s a complete list:

  • Save Results To Database An enhancement to the Save Results component described in Chapter 35, “Processing Data Submitted from Forms.” This feature appends form data directly to a database table rather than, as previously described, to Web pages or a text file.

  • Database Results Wizard A tool for creating Web-based database queries. This wizard prompts you for the name of the database, the name of a table or query, the columns you want to list, and formatting options. It then creates Web pages that look up and display the requested data on demand.

  • Database Interface Wizard A means to create a series of Web pages that can display, add, change, and delete records in any database you decide to support.
