Setting Tabs

Another way to indent and align text in a text frame is by using tabs. Tabs are set every half-inch by default. Every time you press the Tab key on the keyboard, you offset the text line from the left margin of your text frame by one tab stop. Setting tabs is done by clicking the horizontal ruler to place a particular tab type at a point on the ruler.

You can set different tab types by clicking the Tab selector (it is where the two rulers join in the upper left corner of the screen. The tab types are as follows:
