When you are working with the various commands and features found in Publisher, you invariably come up against dialog boxes. Dialog boxes are used when Publisher needs more information from you before it can complete a command or take advantage of a special feature. Dialog boxes always appear when you select a menu command that is followed by an ellipsis. Dialog boxes also appear when you invoke the same commands using the appropriate toolbar buttons.
The way you provide information in the dialog box can vary. Some dialog boxes need you to type a text entry in a text box. Other dialog boxes provide you with a list of choices on a drop-down menu, and others need you to make your selection by clicking an option button.
