Creating Tables

The easiest way to learn about tables is to create and use them. To create a table

  1. Create a new, blank page.

  2. From the Table menu, select Insert and then Table to open the Insert Table dialog box (see Figure 6.2).

  3. The default size for a new table is two rows by two columns for a total of four cells. Go ahead for now and accept this default size. Also accept the default values for Layout and Width. You will learn how to change these values later. Select OK, and your table is created on the page (see Figure 6.3).
