Form Elements

There are six basic form elements you use in various combinations to create your forms—a one-line text box, a scrolling text box, a check box, a radio button, a drop-down menu, and a pushbutton. What follows is an overview of each of the form elements available for you to use and what each element is used for.

One-Line Text Boxes

A one-line text box is the simplest form element you can use in your Web page forms. A one-line text box is used when you want the user to supply a few words or perhaps one or two sentences of text (see Figure 21.1).
