Lesson 6. Working with Color > A look at the Bridge

A look at the Bridge

The Adobe Bridge application in Adobe Creative Suite 2 is a central location where users can select a color settings file with preset color management policies and default profiles. Selecting a Color Settings File (CSF) in Adobe Bridge ensures that color is handled consistently and that color displays and prints the same way from all Adobe Creative Suite 2 applications.

When users select a CSF, the file’s preset values determine the color management behavior in all applications, such as how embedded profiles are handled, what the default RGB and CMYK working spaces are, and whether to display warning dialogs when embedded profiles don’t match the default working space. Selecting the correct CSF depends on your workflow. For more information on the Adobe Bridge application, see Lesson 14, “Working with Adobe Bridge and Version Cue.”
