Removing a Frame from the Chain

Finally, you may want to remove one or more frames from a text chain. If you want to delete the whole frame, select it and press the Delete key. The frame is deleted, but the text flows on into the succeeding frames in the chain. (Text is never removed from the chain when a frame is deleted.)

If you want to cut the frame and use it elsewhere, choose Cut from the Edit menu (or press Command-X/Ctrl-X). The text flows into the succeeding frames in the chain. Then go to the page where you the frame to appear, and choose Paste from the Edit menu, or press Command-V/Ctrl-V. The frame appears with the text which was in the previous location, but it is now disconnected from the chain. You can also Option/Alt-drag the text frame with the Selection tool to duplicate it (text and all).
