Export as JPEG

Feel like turning your one of your document pages into a picture? You can select Export from the File menu, then choose JPEG from the Format popup menu. InDesign lets you pick any page (only one page at a time, though), along with some basic image quality settings (the lower the quality, the smaller the resulting file). Unfortunately, the JPEG is always 72 dpi, so it’s appropriate for a Web page and little else. If you need a higher-resolution image, try scaling your whole page up with the Scale tool before exporting the JPEG.
