Preparing for Conversion

It’s always best to work on a copy of a PageMaker document when doing a conversion. If the file exists on a network server, floppy disk or other removable media, copy the PageMaker document and all its linked graphics onto your local hard drive for best results.

Updating Fonts and Graphics

The first step in converting a PageMaker document is to open it in Adobe PageMaker, and update the fonts and graphics. When you open the file, the program should warn you of any missing fonts. If possible, find and open the correct fonts. If necessary use the Substituted Font popup menu, to select replacement fonts.
