Chapter 1. Workspace > Saving and Loading Workspaces

Saving and Loading Workspaces

Once you’ve gotten your palettes set up just the way you want them, you can save them—their locations and their states—to a workspace. You can then load that workspace to return to that arrangement.

This means that you can set up special palette configurations for specific tasks—you might want to have one set of palettes for working with paths; another for entering text and typesetting, and still another for creating bookmarks and hyperlinks. You might even want to have different workspaces for different clients or documents. With InDesign’s workspace management, you can dramatically reduce the number of palettes you have up on your screen at any one time while making palette use more efficient.
