Locking Object Positions

In InDesign, you can lock an object’s position—which means that you can’t transform it. You can, however, select the object, copy the object, or change its appearance.

To lock an object, select it and press Command-L/Ctrl-L (or choose Lock Position from the Object menu). To unlock an object, press Command-Option-L/Ctrl-Alt-L (or choose Unlock Position from the Object menu).
