The GIF, JPEG, and PNG formats, with their built-in compression schemes, significantly reduce the storage size of image files while causing only a minor reduction in image quality. Compressed images download faster on the Web.
What's in a name?
To rename the default “image” folder/directory, go to QuarkXPress (Edit, in Windows) > Preferences > Web Layout > General, then enter the desired folder/directory name in the Image Export Directory field (see page 420).
