Chapter 1. The Basics > The Hyperlinks palette

The Hyperlinks palette

Hyperlinks (“links” for short) are the graphic devices that Web designers use to help users navigate between Web pages. Links range from simple underlined words to image maps and rollovers. In QuarkXPress, the Hyperlinks palette is used to assign a link to highlighted text, an image map area, a picture box, or other selected item. Links are interactive only when viewed in a browser. Links can also be assigned to text in a print layout and then exported as a PDF file.
