Chapter 15. Color > Color for print

Color for print

Each spot color is printed using a separate plate. Spot color inks are mixed according to specifications defined in a color matching system, such as PANTONE. Various tints (percentages) of the same spot color will appear on the same printing plate.

The Colors palette is used to apply colors to text, pictures, boxes, frames, lines, text paths, and tables, and to create blends. Note: Color management is covered in Chapter 23; trapping is covered in Chapter 24.
