Part 4: Typography > Find Font

Chapter 53. Find Font

InDesign’s Find Font dialog box is the equivalent of the Font panel in the QuarkXPress Usage dialog box—it tells you what fonts are used in your document and lets you replace them with other fonts. You can get to Find Font in one of three ways. First, if you open an InDesign file which uses fonts which are not open on your system, the Missing Fonts dialog box appears (see Figure 53-1). You’re given the immediate opportunity to substitute a different font by clicking on the Find Font button (which takes you to the Find Font dialog box). Second, you can open the Find Font dialog box by choosing Find Font from the Type menu. Third, when preflighting your document (see Chapter 91) you can press the Find Font button on the Fonts panel of the Preflight dialog box.
