Asset Management

InDesign’s libraries act like little asset management utilities, letting you label each item and sort or search for items that match various criteria.

Adding Information About an Item

Each library item has a name. If it’s a graphic, InDesign gives the item the graphic’s file name by the default. If it’s a text frame or a page object, it will be untitled. You can always add or change information about an item (like its name) by double-clicking it in the Library palette. Or, you can click the Library Item Information button or choose Item Information from the palette menu (see Figure 25-2).
