115 Chapter 37. Numbering and Sectioning QuarkXPress and InDesign can both handle multiple sections within a document. For example, the numbering scheme of a book's front matter, table of contents and index may be different from that of its body (perhaps A, B and C for the Table of Contents and 1, 2 and 3 for the body of the book). You control sections using the Pages palette (see Chapter 28 for an overview of the Pages palette). Creating Sections To create a section, select the page where you want the section to start in the Pages palette, then choose Numbering & Section Options from the palette's flyout menu. In the New Section dialog box (see Figure 37-1), turn on the Start Section checkbox to start a new section on the selected page.
