Flowing Text

After making your import choices for one of the formats above, click Choose (Mac OS X) or Open (Mac OS 9 and Windows). Then, one of two things happens: If you don’t have a frame selected, you’ll see the loaded text cursor, which changes depending on where the cursor is and what modifier keys you’re holding down (see Figure 39-2). If you have a frame (either text or graphics) selected and the Replace Selected Item option was turned on, InDesign fills the frame with the imported text. (If this was a mistake, just choose Undo Replace from the Edit menu, or press Command-Z/Ctrl-Z, which reloads the “Place gun.”)
