Chapter 81. Gradients > Gradient Swatches

Gradient Swatches

Creating gradients is similar to creating color swatches: Select New Gradient Swatch from the Swatches palette’s flyout menu. In the New Gradient Swatch dialog box you can set the color and tint of each end separately by clicking on the little box (called a “stop”) under the Gradient Ramp at the bottom of the dialog box (see Figure 81-1). Then you can either choose from colors listed in your Swatches palette (by selecting Named Color from the Stop Color popup menu), or mix a new color by choosing a color model such as CMYK. You can also choose between a Linear or Radial gradient from the Type popup menu.
