Copying, Pasting, and Deleting Content

You can copy, paste, and delete text and other content from selected cells. Keep in mind that to be successful when you’re replacing content, you must paste into a table structure which is at least as many cells wide and tall as the cells you’re pasting.

For example, what do you do if a Excel or Word table gets updated and you need to update it in InDesign, too? If the table were still linked to the original file and you updated it, you would lose all your InDesign-applied formatting. Here’s what you do.
