Chapter 99. Creating PDF Files

One of the most frustrating aspects of QuarkXPress has long been the need to own and use Adobe Acrobat in order to create PDF files. While all graphics professionals should have a copy of Adobe Acrobat in their tool chest, it is nevertheless cumbersome and time-consuming to create PDF files from QuarkXPress. Not so with InDesign, which lets you export your pages directly to the PDF file format. This has some advantages, such as speed, and a few limitations, which we discuss in this chapter.
