Applying Drop Shadows

You can apply a drop shadow to anything on your InDesign page: imported graphics, text frames, lines, and even tables (see Figure 85-1). Drop shadows are an effect attached to an object, so they can be edited or removed at any time. Apply a drop shadow by choosing a frame with the Selection tool and selecting Drop Shadow from either the Object menu or the context menu (or press Command-Option-M/Ctrl-Alt-M)—then turn on the Drop Shadow checkbox. If you select a text frame with a fill color of None, InDesign applies the drop shadow to the text; if the fill is any other color, the drop shadow applies to the frame itself.
