We suggest you make your life easier by following the mantra, “When in doubt, use the context menu.” Unlike QuarkXPress, InDesign provides access to most common text modification options through context menus, and offers some great time saving features too.
For instance, you can forget about Key Caps or the Character Map when looking for seldom-used characters. InDesign packs them into the Special Character submenu—one of many available from the context menus when working with text (see Figure 5-4).
