Organizing Files

FrontPage helps you organize your Web files with several labeling options. By labeling files by category, for example, you could create a Redesign category for all the files related to the upcoming redesign of your Web site. You can use whatever categories make sense: organizational categories, such as Production; product categories, such as New Widgets. The categories do not appear on the Web site itself, just in FrontPage’s reports view.

FrontPage also includes another labeling choice, which it calls review status, for marking files that should be checked before they’re published. By building your own master list of review procedures or mileposts, you can use the reports view to quickly see whether files and pages have been checked over by others on your Web site team. Before you begin labeling files by category or review status, it will speed your work if you first create a master list for each.
