Creating, Opening, Saving, and Closing Web Pages

To build a Web page, you can take three routes: Create a new page from scratch and save it. Create a new page based on a template. Or open an existing page, alter it, and then save it using the Save As command to give it a new name. For more information on templates, see Using Templates and Themes.

To create a new blank Web page

Choose File > New > Page or Web, or click the New Page icon (Figure 2.68).

If you chose File > New > Page or Web in step 1, a task pane will appear down the right side of the main window. Click the Blank Page icon (Figure 2.69) to create an entirely blank page (Figure 2.70). If you clicked the New Page icon in step 1, the blank page will appear immediately.
