Part II: Creating Basic Web Pages > Adding and Editing Images

Chapter 7. Adding and Editing Images

Putting pictures on the Web requires using images in the right formats, as discussed in Web Image Formats, this chapter’s first section. The second section, Adding Images, covers adding images to a Web page and setting such basic aspects of the image as its size, alignment, and whether it should have borders. Editing Images covers tricks built right into FrontPage’s Pictures toolbar (Figure 7.1). The final section, Positioning Images Absolutely, explains how images can escape the confines of grid-like layouts. To add images, links, or hotspots, see Creating Image Links. To use built-in graphic themes, see Using Templates and Themes. To add videos to Web pages, see Adding Multimedia and Web Components.
