Part III: Creating Advanced Pages > Creating and Processing Forms

Chapter 12. Creating and Processing Forms

Forms enable you to collect information from your users by presenting them with questions, interactive option buttons, check boxes, and multiple-choice menus. The first step in setting up forms is creating the forms and adding the fields you need to collect information. As you add and edit fields within the form, you have the option of setting up data entry rules for the users. FrontPage calls this process validating the data. Once that’s done, you can create a confirmation page, which provides crucial feedback to the user and cuts down on incorrect form entries. Finally, you set whether you want the form results saved as a file, email, database entry, or as part of a custom script.
