Chapter 3. Creating a Web Site > Using Link Bars and Shared Borders

Using Link Bars and Shared Borders

What had been called navigation bars in the previous version of FrontPage have been redubbed link bars in FrontPage 2002. More important than the name change, link bars are easier to use and less confusing than the old navigation bars.

Use link bars whenever you need to create a consistent set of hyperlinks for a group of pages or an entire Web site. Link bars offer several advantages over individual hyperlinks. You create them once and then apply them to any number of pages. They also offer a great way to create site-wide navigational links to let users quickly jump to your site’s Home page or other main pages.
