Deleting Styles

Whether you’re working with embedded styles or external style sheets, you can get rid of individual custom styles at any time. And if you’ve customized an HTML tag, such as H1, the same process will return the tag to its standard definition.

To delete custom styles

1.
Make sure you’re in page view and choose Format > Style or click the Style toolbar if it is active (Figure 14.5).

When the Style dialog box appears (Figure 14.41), select in the Styles list the user-defined style you want to delete and click Delete. The custom style will be removed from the Styles list (Figure 14.42).
