Linking to External Style Sheets

You can define an external style sheet to your heart’s content, but you must link pages to that style sheet for its styles to be applied.

To link to external style sheets

1.
Make sure you’re in page view and open the page you want linked to the external style sheet (Figure 14.34).

Choose Format > Style Sheet Links (Figure 14.35).

When the Link Style Sheet dialog box appears (Figure 14.36), choose Selected page(s) if you want to apply the style sheet to only the current page. Choose All pages if you want to apply the external style sheet to your entire Web site. Click Add.

When the Select Style Sheet dialog box appears, navigate to the style sheet you want to use, select it, and its URL or pathname will be pasted into the URL text box (Figure 14.37). Click OK.

The external style sheet will be listed in the Link Style Sheet dialog box (Figure 14.38). Click OK and the style sheet will be applied to the page(s) you selected (Figure 14.39).
