Adding Sounds

Short sound loops can be effective mood setters on the appropriate pages—and maddening on strictly business pages. Pick and choose your sound pages carefully.

To add a page background sound

1.
Switch to page view, right-click anywhere in the page and choose Page Properties from the shortcut menu (Figure 9.16).

When the Page Properties dialog box opens, click the General tab (Figure 9.17).

Within the Background sound section, click Browse to locate a sound file (Figure 9.18). By default, Forever is checked. If you want the sound to play a short time, uncheck the box and use the text window or arrows to set the number of loops.

4.
Click OK and the sound will become part of your Web page. Click the Preview tab at the bottom of FrontPage’s main window to hear the sound or test it with your Web browser.
