Using Bookmarks

Bookmarks, often called anchor links, let visitors jump to specific spots, such as section headings, within a long Web page. Creating anchors is a two-step process: first you create the bookmark itself (the anchor), then you create hyperlinks (the anchor links) that point to the bookmark. The bookmark can be in the current page or FrontPage lets you browse to another page containing bookmarks.

Insert anchor links into your Web pages to let readers jump ahead or back without scrolling through the whole document. Anchors aren’t limited to headings. Feel free to link to a citation, word or image, or single character.
