Chapter 8. Adding and Editing Drawings > Aligning, Arranging, and Grouping Draw...

Aligning, Arranging, and Grouping Drawn Objects

FrontPage includes several options for moving and positioning drawn objects, which can be particularly helpful when working with multiple objects. Aligning lets you rearrange objects along a common axis; distributing lets you evenly space three or more objects. By default, FrontPage displays drawn objects in the order they were created with the most recent atop, that is, in front of, the earlier objects. By arranging, or ordering, the objects, you can change their so-called stack order. Finally, grouping lets you turn multiple objects into a single object, or group. This enables you to move the objects as a unit or apply property changes to all of them simultaneously. By creating groups of groups, known as subgroups, you can build fairly complex drawings and yet easily change selected sections.

To align or distribute drawn objects

1.
Select several objects that you want to align by -clicking each object (Figure 8.52).
