Chapter 8. Adding and Editing Drawings > Changing Drawn Objects

Changing Drawn Objects

All three types of FrontPage drawings— simple shapes, AutoShapes, and WordArt— are generated as mathematical objects. That means you can easily resize, move, or even rotate drawings at any time. You also can change such properties as the color or style using the Drawing toolbar’s icons. FrontPage also lets you group and arrange multiple objects. For more information, see Aligning.

To resize a drawn object

1.
Click to select the drawn object, denoted by the appearance of small hollow circles (handles) around its boundary.

2.
Move the cursor to the handle on the side that you want to expand or reduce. The cursor will become a two-headed arrow (left, Figure 8.39).

Figure 8.39. To resize an object, move the cursor over the handle you want to move, then click and drag it to a new location.

3.
Click on the handle and drag it in the direction you want to expand or shrink. A dashed line will mark your progress (middle, Figure 8.39).

4.
When the object reaches the desired size, release your cursor and the object will be resized (right, Figure 8.39).
