Chapter 6. WORKING IN COLOR >  Using the Eyedropper

Using the Eyedropper

InDesign 1.5 lets you sample and apply fill and stroke attributes using the Eyedropper tool. This makes it easy to copy intricate formatting from one object and apply it to others. (see Chapter 9, "Automating Text" for more information on how to use the Eyedropper to sample and apply paragraph and character attributes.)

To set the eyedropper options for fill and stroke:

1.
Double-click the Eyedropper tool in the Toolbox . This opens the Eyedropper Options dialog box.

2.
Choose Fill & Stroke Settings from the pop-up list .

Figure 6.28. The Fill & Stroke Settings for the Eyedropper Options allows you to select which fill and stroke settings the Eyedropper will sample and apply.

3.
Check which fill and stroke attributes you want the Eyedropper tool to sample.
