Moving and Deleting Text

You can copy and paste text in one move by using the Duplicate command. The Duplicate command also leaves the contents of the clipboard untouched. (see the sidebar, "The Computer Clipboard," for an explanation of how the clipboard works.)

To copy and paste text:

1.
Select the text or text frame.

2.
Choose Edit > Copy.

3.
Position the insertion point where you want to put the copied text.

4.
Choose Edit > Paste. The copied text is inserted into the new position .
