Chapter 13. EXPORT > Creating EPS Files

Creating EPS Files

You might create a special shape or design in In Design that you would like to use in other page-layout programs or as part of a Photoshop or Illustrator file. Export the file as an EPS, or Encapsulated PostScript, file so that you can use it in other applications.

To create an EPS file:

1.
Choose File > Export. The Export dialog box appears .

Figure 13.11. The Export dialog box lets you choose the EPS format to save as an Encapsulated PostScript file.

2.
Give the file a name and set the location.

3.
Choose EPS from the Save As File Type (Win) or Formats (Mac) pop-up list.

4.
Click Save. This opens the Export EPS dialog box.

5.
Set the EPS Options as described in the next exercise.

6.
Choose Pages from the pop-up list and set those options as described on page 253.

7.
Click Export to create the EPS file which can then be used as a graphic in other files.
