Choosing Document Color Settings

In addition to the application settings, you need to set the color-management options for each document.

To set the source profiles:

1.
Choose File > Color Settings > Document Color Settings. This opens the Document Color Settings dialog box .

Choose Edit > Color Settings > Document Color Settings. This opens the Document Color Settings dialog box .

Check Enable Color Management to turn on color management.

For CMYK colors, choose a source profile from the CMYK pop-up list .

Adobe recommends choosing Use Separations Profile to match the separations profile set in the application settings. Use another setting it the document is to be printed on a different printer.

For LAB colors, choose a profile from the LAB pop-up list .

To have InDesign control LAB colors, choose Adobe InDesign Default LAB.

5.
For RGB colors, choose a profile from the RGB pop-up list .

To have InDesign control RGB colors, choose Adobe InDesign Default RGB.
